About “Legacy of the Stone Harp”

The “Legacy of the Stone Harp” series is the result of a unique collaboration between Mark Sebanc and James G. Anderson. While the origins of The Stoneholding, the first book of the series, lie in a story crafted by Mark over several years, in its present form the work stands as a tribute to the alchemy of a mutually sparked creativity. Mark and Jim have toiled together in friendship, with single-minded dedication, setting, honing and polishing the initial work to its present clarity and scope.

Mark has worked as an editor and translator, with several books to his credit. He holds Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Classics from the University of Toronto, and lives with his wife and children in the Upper Ottawa Valley of Ontario, Canada.

A teacher, musician, and poet, Jim earned both Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. He, his wife, Lisa, and their three sons make their home on the Canadian prairies, not far from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where they work with the St. Therese Institute of Faith and Mission.

Originally published by the authors (Stoneharp Press), The Stoneholding — Legacy of the Stone Harp: Book One was published by Baen Books, September 2009. The second book in the series, Darkling Fields of Arvon, will be released May 2010.

“A genuinely thrilling beginning to what is sure to be a resounding epic. Anderson and Sebanc craft their tale in a voice that is fresh but also very familiar, like an ancient melody with new lyrics. There is something deeply satisfying about The Stoneholding. It’s a wonderful read and I look forward to the next book in the Legacy of the Stone Harp.”

Elizabeth Haydon, author of Rhapsody and The Dragon’s Lair

“An entertaining story… the authors’ stylish and poetic narrative, coupled with a cast of endearing characters make this a real page-turner that epic fantasy fans will enjoy.”
